GroTec was opened in 2001 and run by a like minded group of individuals who also believe knowledge is power, and like a new challenge every day. We have over 100 years of combined growing experience and have won many awards from local allotment groups and horticultural associations.

We have a wide range of stock on the premises including all the top brands and everyone is welcome.

We are in the process of expanding into new premises which will allow us to stock much more hydroponic equipment and open a Bonsai Cafe where people can relax, have a coffee, check out the Bonsai showroom and even doing a little surfing the web.

We have several celebrity customers who prefer to remain nameless as well as Doctors, Solicitors, Barristers, Teachers and the usual blend of market gardeners, self employed entrepreneurs and dedicated hobby growers.

We are two minutes from Junction 20 of the M62 and only 10 mins away from Manchester, however since we started doing mail order we have a very wide customer base geographically, the website has played a big part in spreading our wings, and is a fully e-commerce site and has developed good relations not only with customers but also with shops in other countries.

We also like to get involved in more localized projects and are currently helping to promote hydroponics in local primary schools with free starter kits and demonstrations. (Please e-mail us or check website for more info).

Payment Options

GroTec will accept payment in many forms. If you are having any problems with payment please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help you out.

Cash
GroTec will accept cash but we reccommend that you send it via registered post as this signed for and is the most secure option available and we have never had any problems using this method in the past.

Credit or Debit Cards 
We accept all major credit cards. We can take them via the online payment form on the website or you can call us and we can take the details over the phone.

Cheques
We will accept cheques but will have to wait until the cheque clears.

Postal Orders are just as good as cash and we will be able to send out your order the day we get them.
